We are Salsa con Miguel TEAM. Most of us have been dancing separately for some years in Salsa con Miguel dance school under the guidance of Miguel Rodriguez and Rossy Lyondova.
United by a common passion - our love for Cuban salsa, the original 6 members of the team (Milena, Valia, Geri, Ivan, Niki and Liubo) got together in February 2007. In less than 2 months we won Sofia Salsa Open and after the expansion of the team to the current 10 members (+Vessi, Petya, Ivan 2, Tsveti) , we also won Varna Salsa Open in April, thus becoming champions of Bulgaria for 2007 in Rueda de Casion division.
As a result came up the invitation of the 3rd Bulgarian Salsa Festival to participate directly in the qualifications for the Orlando Championship in the team category. We qualified on 2nd place, which gave us the chance to compete directly for the semi-finals in the Championship in December.
The aim of the team’s latest choreography is to show the Rueda as a stylish spectacle which blends elegant choreography, technical precision to details with the appeal and seeming effortlessness of Cuban salsa.
